A lot has happened in the past few weeks and I'll try to get keep it short and sweet.
As soon as we got back from Utah, Aaron's parents came to help us move in. The weekend they were here we decided to drive up to Heber and watch the Sheepdog Competition. Which, by the way, is fascinating. I'm not much of a sport-watcher, but this was incredible!
The dogs respond to different whistles that they owner makes: left, right, away to me, etc. Seriously you guys, you must add sheepdog competition to your things-to-do-before-I-die list. This was really neat to watch! Plus, there were dogs and owners from all over the world; Ireland, South Africa, and Brazil.
Besides the sheepdog competition, they had other attractions that were really interesting.
Like roast lamb...
Rare breeds of sheep...
Birds of Prey...
And the Splash Dog Competition!
In other news, Aaron was offered a job, but refused because we decided it would be better to have more time with the family (it would be 20-40 hours per week PLUS being a full-time student). He is currently looking for a part-time for while he is at school
He is also applying for actuarial jobs for after graduation. He was offered a job at the company he interned with, Mercer Consulting in Seattle (wahoo!). However, Seattle was quite expensive and he wasn't crazy about working in Consulting (billable hours) and so he is applying to other positions, mainly in Texas... So right now we don't have the faintest idea where we'll end up!
I'm super busy with getting our house organized and taking care of Sawyer. I had no idea how busy I would be. At first I thought I would be digging for things to do, but I was very wrong. Being a full-time mother is a lot of work, and I absolutely love every second of it!!!
If your husband is at BYU. Ancestry.com the company I work for is hiring right now for all ships in 4 hour blocks 5 days a week from 6AM-10PM.
