Flying a Kite [and Other Orders of Business]

This past week has been absolutely insane.

Besides having mounds of homework, we have also had two academic banquets.
I'm not sure how many of you know this, but Aaron is a Thomas S. Monson Scholarship recipient. It is the highest scholarship awarded at BYU.

He is so hot.

Anyway, we went to his scholarship banquet last week, and tonight is my academic scholarship banquet for the Phi Eta Sigma society(less prestigious, the college equivalent to a high school honor society).

Last Sunday we attended a mission homecoming for one of Aaron's mission companions. We were also invited to a family home evening with my uncles family. It was so fun to get to talk to them all and to visit with my cousin Marshall and his cute family. What a lovely way to spend an evening. Since the homecoming was early, and the FHE was late, we had a lot of time to spend in South Jordan. So...

We had a picnic in the park,

flew a kite,

and, since the narcotic nature of a lazy Sunday was too much to resist,

we took a nap on the grass.

I bought this "pocket" kite from the gift shop at a cathedral in England.

How quaint :)
