I'm starting the seventh month and the third trimester!!! These are some pictures my mom took yesterday when they came to visit for the LDS General Conference. I asked her to snap some pictures since I was officially 28 weeks yesterday.
The baby has started to develop preferences and a personality:
- He/she loves it when I take showers! It will start kicking and punching.
- It sleeps pretty well through night, but as soon as our alarm clock goes off it starts rolling and moving around! I really hope this continues, forever.
- It loves to turn transverse (sideways) when I'm walking. As soon as I start my morning walk it will stretch out so it's legs stick out my side. I love touching its tiny little feet :) this is one of my favorite parts of the day.
These are the body changes I've gone through this month:
- Fatigue. I didn't really feel tired up until now. I find little corners to take naps, and I go to bed pretty early because I just can't stay awake.
- I used to worry about my future milk production, but not anymore. I actually had to buy breast pads because it was becoming quite a problem. I asked my midwife about it and she said I'm perfectly healthy, I'm just one of the few "Jerseys" of the human world. I apologize if this is a little more information than you wanted to know, but it is what it is.
- I still get some morning sickness every once in a while. Only every few weeks, which is nothing compared to the first trimester.
And, finally, here are some funny stories from this month:
- Last week, I went to the student health center to have my toe looked at (I was 27 weeks). The nurse was asking the normal questions and then she came to the "when was your last menstrual period?" question, I answered Sept. 25th. She looked at me with this confused look and said, "That's quite a long time. Do you think you could you be pregnant?"
- My mom, sister and I were shopping at the City Creek mall yesterday. I noticed an Indian lady watching and smiling at me. I smiled back and waved. She said "You're beautiful. Do you know what you're having?" I said no, and she quickly said "It's a girl." When her and her family left, my mom turned to me and said "You know, in some cultures they have ways of knowing these things."
So who knows! Maybe she knows something we don't... :)
Love the pictures! You look radiant! =)
