Olympic National Park

We only have 10 days left in Seattle! Oh how time flies when you're having fun.

For our last weekend road trip we decided to visit Olympic National Park. We left Friday right after work and drove to Aberdeen, WA. We stayed the night in this *classy* motel. There must have been some kind of Twilight event going on this past weekend because we could not find any hotels, motels, inns, etc. with vacancy in the Olympic park area. Oh well, it was clean and had a continental breakfast, who needs more than that, right?

The next day we drove to small part of the park that had a lush rainforest. Aaron volunteered to wear the Moby wrap to spare my back. We spotted another dad in the parking lot wearing a Moby wrap as well. Aaron said he looked like a "professional Moby wearer." He said someday he will look pro.
I think he rocks the wrap right now :)

This rainforest is absolutely breathtaking! I could spend hours and hours in there.

Sawyer enjoyed the Moby for a while, but after a while he got hungry. And since we are new parents we forgot the blanket for concealing the womanly art of breastfeeding.

So I just sat on a log and went au naturale.

After filling his tummy, Sawyer was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. He LOVED looking at the tall trees and was smiling the rest of the hike. He is so sweet!

Just laughing at a good joke :)

After spending time in the rainforest, we drove north towards Port Angeles. On the way we stopped by the ocean and Crescent Lake.

The water at Crescent Lake is the most amazing blue. I just can't get over how beautiful it is!

We finally made it to Port Angeles and had a late lunch. We also walked around the city and went to the docks. Did you know that Port Angeles is second in line to be the nations capital?! Crazy! If Washington D.C. is fired as the capitol then Port Angeles is next in line :)

We fell in love with the city of Port Angeles! It is a place that you must visit if you make a trip over to Washington. If only the city had need for actuaries...
